Is the government willing to hold such dialogue?”

SEC. ANDANAR: Nabanggit na po ito ni Secretary Jess Dureza na siya po ay nagpadala ng mga tao para kausapin po ang Abu Sayyaf para po sa release ng mga hostages. Of course, ito po ay tuloy-tuloy hanggang sa ma-release po ang kahuli-hulihang hostage.

Q: Follow up question po. Do you consider them as plain bandits, terrorists who must be neutralized at all costs?

SEC. ANDANAR: Well, ito naman ay nabanggit din ni Secretary Jess Dureza na kung ano man ang nakasaad sa United Nations ang pagtrato sa Abu Sayyaf ay ganun din po ang stand ng ating gobyerno.

Q: Yes, sir. On the matter of ito pong threat ng terrorism din. In light of the Bangladesh attacks po kahapon kung saan marami pong foreigners ang namatay, has the President given the directive for the PNP (Philippine National Police) and AFP (Armed Forces of the Philippines) to step up security or any directives po para sa mga awtoridad regarding this, sir?

SEC. ANDANAR: Wala po kaming napag-usapan during the Cabinet meeting about it.

Q: Another question po on another issue galing pa din kay Genalyn: “Where will be the official residence of the President in Manila. Will all government officials keep the no wang-wang policy when on the road?”

SEC. ANDANAR: Iyong official residence po ng Pangulo sa Maynila at ito po ay nakasaad din po sa ating Saligang Batas ay ang Malacañang po. So, pagdating po naman doon sa no wang-wang policy, hindi po namin napag-usapan ito, Albert.

Q: Okay, sec. Another question naman from Genalyn din: “Kamusta ang relasyon ni Presidente kay Vice President Leni (Robredo)? Does he consider her an ally or an adversary?”

SEC. ANDANAR: Siguro po naman ay nakita natin ‘yung unang pagtatagpo ni Vice President Leni Robredo at Presidente Rody Duterte at nakita natin sa telebisyon at nasaksihan ko rin na it was very warm.

Q: Follow up din po. “Is his decision not to give her a Cabinet post final?”

SEC. ANDANAR: Ito po ay prerogative ng Presidente po kung bibigyan po ang isang Bise Presidente ng Cabinet post.

Q: Alright, another question, sir, from Jo Montemayor of Malaya: “How did the President Rodrigo Duterte spend his first weekend as President?”

SEC. ANDANAR: Sa pagkaka-alam ko, Albert, ito ay personal time ng Presidente.

Q: Alright, follow up niya. May we ask po what’s the [proclamation] order number for the Eid’l Fitr holiday this week?

SEC. ANDANAR: Well, napag-usapan namin iyan ni Executive Secretary (Salvador) Medialdea at ito po ay sa July 6. Pero hintayin na lang po natin ‘yung opisyal na announcement ngayong darating na Lunes or Martes po.

Q: Alright, another question from Jo. “Will the President attend the ASEAN gathering in Mongolia this month?”

SEC. ANDANAR: Hindi pa ho namin napag-usapan iyan pero batay po sa past pronouncements po ng ating Mahal na Pangulo ay nabanggit niya po na he will be spending more time in the Philippines lalung-lalo na ngayon na kaka-assume lang po ng ating Mahal na Pangulo.

Q: Alright, question naman po from Aileen Taliping ng DWIZ. Ang question niya, “Hiniling ng Indonesian government sa Duterte administration na umaksyon para matigil ang pagki-kidnap ng mga bandidong Abu Sayyaf. May direktiba ba ang Pangulo sa Armed Forces para malutas na ang kidnapping activities ng mga bandido?”

SEC. ANDANAR: Well, nabanggit na po ng Pangulo iyan sa ilan po sa kanyang mensahe na ito po ay — meron siyang hinihintay na mga gamit upang once and for all — and, of course, meron pong mga kino-konsidera pa rin ang Pangulo. But I am sure that the President, and, of course, the Department of Foreign Affairs are already talking to the Indonesians and the Indonesian government.

Q: Alright. Question naman po mula kay Ian Cruz of GMA-7. Ang question niya: “May flight details na po ba si PRRD bukas?”

SEC. ANDANAR: As much as I’d like to announce the flight details pero ito po ay napaka-delicate po ito dahil ito po ay may kinalaman sa seguridad ng Presidente at hindi po ito basta-basta ibinibigay ng PSG (Presidential Security Group).

Q: Alright. “And private plane pa rin po ba ang kanyang sasakyan?”

SEC. ANDANAR: I am not privy to that, Albert.

Q: And follow up niya, “Kung private daw po ito gastos po ba ito ng government or care of friends pa rin?”

SEC. ANDANAR: Albert, again, as I mentioned, I am not privy to what type of plane ang sinakyan po ng Pangulo.

Q: Alright, question naman po galing kay Ace Romero ng Philippine Star. Ang question niya: “Does the President have instructions to authorities regarding attack [against] journalist in Surigao City? How did the President react to the incident?”

SEC. ANDANAR: Naglabas po ako ng statement kahapon at we are condemning ito pong ambush doon po sa journalist sa Surigao. At kami po ay naniniwala na ang journalist po sa Surigao na kanilang inattempt po ay isang journalist po na ang kanyang ipinaglaban po ay ang kanyang anti-drugs advocacy and, of course, we are condemning the attack.

At abangan niyo po dahil meron na po kaming idina-draft ni Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, ito po ay may kinalaman sa presidential task force against media killings at ito po ay itinutulak po natin bilang kalihim po ng Presidential Communications Office.

Q: Alright, sir, can we confirm if tuloy na po ‘yung barangay elections later this year? Wala po bang glitch or ano regarding this?

SEC. ANDANAR: Naglabas na po ang COMELEC (Commission on Elections) ng kanilang bidding pero pag-uusapan po muna namin ito sa Gabinete.

Q: Alright. Sir, sa ano naman medyo lighter side. Sa sports, sir, mag-i-start na ‘yung FIBA Tournament this July 5 and I think opener ang Gilas Pilipinas is against France. So ang lumabas po sa mga balita manonood daw po ang Pangulong Duterte diyan to boost the morale of the Gilas players. Can you confirm this, sir?

SEC. ANDANAR: Hindi po napag-usapan iyan sa Gabinete, Albert. Pero I am sure with the head of the PSG, si Butch Ramirez na napaka ano po talaga — a big fan of sports, and Commissioner Mon Fernandez. Ito po ay — malaki po ang posibilidad na manood po ang Pangulo whether live or sa telebisyon.

Q: Sir, nasabi rin, I think last week lumabas din ‘yung balita tungkol po doon sa budget ‘yung tungkol sa federalism, sir, so i-incorporate na rin itong nirerepasong budget for 2017? Kasama na rin po ba ‘yung budget sa federalism na isinusulong?

SEC. ANDANAR: Ang alam ko lang ay ito ang number one na isinusulong ni Speaker Bebot Alvarez at alam ko rin na ito po ay isa sa mga plataporma ng ating Presidente. Pero noong nakaraang Cabinet meeting po ay we did not talk about it extensively because it was already understood na ‘yung federalism ay isa nga sa mga ipinanukala po ng ating Pangulo.

Q: Alright, okay. So, so far, sir, wala na po tayong natatanggap na questions mula sa Malacañang Press Corps unless meron po kayong mensahe pa sa ating mga kababayan or sa mga miyembro pa ng MPC, sir. Go ahead, sir.
