On the Cabinet members’ pledge for COVID-19 and the talk about extending the lockdown for another two weeks

The Palace confirms that many of the members of the President’s cabinet have pledged to cut 75% of their monthly salaries from the month of April to December of this year. Others have volunteered a salary deduction for the whole duration of the state of public health emergency in solidarity with our countrymen and to help in the government efforts to halt the spread of the coronavirus.

On fake news circulating relative to Administrative Order No. 27

Given that the Department of Health is overwhelmed with work concerning the health concerns of the nation, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte issued Administrative Order No. 27 for the orderly and swift distribution of personal protective equipment (PPEs), medical supplies and equipment to hospitals, other beneficiary facilities, groups and establishments.


We are so sad to learn that a plane crashed last night taking the lives of the eight persons on board. We extend our deepest sympathies to the grieving families of those who perished in the crash. There must be a thorough investigation of the incident and the concerned government agencies must undertake measures to secure the safety of private aircrafts as well as their passengers and crew.
