The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently installed a total of 148 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) and distributed certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) to 26 farmers in Negros Occidental to strengthen their ownership of the lands they have been tilling for years.
From the 148 ARBs, 112 ARBs were installed in a 46-hectare land in Silay City while 36 ARBs were also installed in Escalante City in a 18.87-hectare property. The 26 ARBs received their land titles covering a total of 25.29 hectares of land.
DAR Western Visayas Director Sheila Enciso said these undertakings are in line with the marching order of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., through the leadership of DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, to provide lands to till to landless farmers.
“These activities, conducted through the process of Land Acquisition and Distribution under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, guarantee the farmers’ land security and social equity, and provide them with the necessary productive resources needed to ensure their economic viability and productivity,” she said.
Enciso added that layout and monumenting survey activities was also carried out to appropriately mark and indicate the technical descriptions of the lot specified in their CLOAs.
In Silay City, the lands involved in the installation were previously managed by Pacita Gayoso, et al., identified by Title Number T-9800, bearing Lot No. 672-B, with an area of 46.2957 hectares that is situated at Barangay Hawaiian; while properties in Escalante City were formerly managed by Rosario Carcueva with Title Numbers T-86317 and T- 110614, bearing Lot Nos. 2620 and 2618, covering 18.8779 hectares, located at Barangay Paitan.
The CLOAs distributed involved the landholdings previously owned by Gloria Galdeano, Ma. Teresa Elordi, Rural Bank of Sagay, Inc., and Hermilinda Elordi, identified by Title Numbers P-18340, P-18101, T-155837, and P-17385, covering Lot Nos. 2838, 2841-B, 2 (2954), and 2658-E, having a total land area of 25.2966 hectares, situated at Barangay Libertad.

DAR pinalakas ang pagmamay-aari ng lupa ng mga magsasaka sa Negros Occidental
Itinalaga kamakailan ng Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) ang 148 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) at namahagi din ng certificate of land ownership award (CLOA) sa 26 magsasaka sa Negros Occidental upang mapalakas ang kanilang pag-aari sa lupaing matagal na nilang sinasaka.
Mula sa 148 ARBs, 112 ARB ang itinalaga sa 46-ektarya ng lupa sa Silay City samantalang may 36 ARB namann ang itinalaga sa Escalante Cit, sa 18.87-ektaryang lupain. Napagkalooban ang 26 ARB ng titulo ng lupa na may kabuuang 25.29 ektarya.
Ayon kay DAR Western Visayas Director Sheila Enciso ang aktibidad na ito ay naaayon sa kautusan ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr., sa pamamagitan ng liderato ni DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, na mapagkalooban ng lupa ang mga magsasakang walang lupain.
“Ito ay isinagawa sa proseso ng Land Acquisition and Distribution sa ilalim ng Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program, kung saan ginagarantiya nito ang seguridad sa lupa at social equity ng mga magsasaka, at nagbibigay sa kanila ng mga kinakailangang resources upang matiyak ang kanilang economic viability at productivity,” aniya.
Idinagdag pa ni Enciso na ang aktibidad para sa layout at monumenting survey ay isinagawa upang mamarkahan at malaman ang technical description ng mga lupaing nasasaad sa kanilang CLOA.
Sa Silay City, ang lupain na ipinagtalagahan sa mga ARB ay dating pinamamahalaan nina Pacita Gayoso, et al., ay mayTitle Number T-9800, at may Lot No. 672-B, ay may sukat na 46.2957 ektarya sa Barangay Hawaiian; habang ang lupain sa Escalante City na tinalagahan ng mga magsasakay ay dating pinmamahalaan ni Rosario Carcueva na may Title Numbers T-86317 at T- 110614, na may Lot Nos. 2620 at 2618, na sumasakop sa 18.8779 ektarya sa Barangay Paitan.
