ULAP advocates One PH for inclusive, sustainable dev’t; pushes for ‘One Nation, United, Undivided’

The Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP) is calling on the people to come together to achieve an inclusive and sustainable development across the country as it rejected any move to separate any region from the rest of the country.

“ULAP calls upon national and local governments, community groups, and civil society organizations to collaborate towards inclusive and sustainable development across the Philippines,” ULAP National President Quirino Gov. Dakila Carlo “Dax” Enriquez Cua said in a statement.

Cua emphasized that ULAP underscores importance of maintaining the integrity of the Philippines’ national territory while recognizing and celebrating diverse local and regional identities, including Mindanao.

“We believe that the entire nation, including Mindanao, with its abundant resources and untapped potential, can flourish through cooperative and collective efforts,” Cua stressed.

The ULAP represents the collective interests of local government units and officials across the Philippines, champions the principle of “One Nation, United, Undivided” and is committed to foster unity and progress for all Filipinos.

“We advocate for the active participation and empowerment of local communities, ensuring that their voices contribute to the national dialogue and there are effectively addressed,” Cua added.

The ULAP also supports prioritizing investments in key sectors such as infrastructure, education, healthcare, social protection, technology and livelihood development designed to generate employment, improve living standards and enhance Filipino’s lives.

Cua reiterated ULAP’s commitment to shaping a brighter and more prosperous future for all regions in the Philippines, reinforcing core belief in being “One Nation, United, Undivided.” PND
