President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured the Filipino people that he will carry out his duties and responsibilities amid his five-day isolation after testing positive for COVID-19.

In a statement, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said that President Marcos tested positive for COVID-19 and was advised by his doctors to observe the mandatory five-day isolation period.

“The President remains fit to carry out his duties and will be continuing his scheduled meetings via teleconference. Updates on his health will be provided as available,” the PCO said on its official Facebook page.

President Marcos urged the Filipino people to take precautions to safeguard their health, such as getting vaccinated and wearing face mask in crowded places.
