PBBM thanks private sector for assisting gov’t build more hospitals

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed gratitude to the private sector for helping the government build medical facilities in the country.

In a media interview in Pampanga on Monday, the President made the remark after he was asked about the commitment of the private sector in building health facilities in the country.

President Marcos led the briefing and site inspection of the Clark Multi-Specialty Medical Center (CMSMC) in Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga where he vowed to pursue accessible quality healthcare services for every Filipino.

The President said the response from the private sector has really been quite strong and overwhelming.

“Because you imagine that this big corporate giants, iniisip lang nila paano kumita, paano kumita. Pero ang katotohanan, noong humingi tayo ng tulong sa kanila, tumutulong talaga sila like the hospital that we had begun that we went to in Clark,” Marcos said, adding those entities also extended assistance in ongoing constructions of other hospitals and health facilities in the country.

“Hindi lamang ‘yung mga local na malalaking korporasyon pati na ‘yung mga funding agencies abroad na galing sa iba’t ibang bansa na napakalaking tulong na ibinibigay sa Pilipinas.”

According to the President, the government made the right decision to ask the assistance of other sectors in pursuing its infrastructure thrust.

The government, he said, has been working with multiple sectors including big companies and wealthy individuals in pursuing its agenda.

“Hindi lamang ‘yung mga malalaki na mayayaman na korporasyon, na mayayaman na indibidwal, kung hindi bawat isang Pinoy. Makikita mo – basta’t kung makita may paraan talagang makatulong, tumutulong,” he said.

“Kaya’t we owe that gratitude to everyone who has taken an extra step in their own way to help the progress of our country.”

The CMSMC is envisioned to be a world-class medical facility equipped with state-of-the-art equipment that will provide specialized care in four medical disciplines: pediatric, renal, cardiovascular, and oncology.

It will be constructed in a 5.7-hectare property along Prince Balagtas Avenue in Clark Freeport Zone that will be opened to not only patients from the provinces of Pampanga and the rest of Central Luzon but also from the Ilocos and Cagayan Valley regions and even Metro Manila. PND
