PBBM, FL show notable health improvements, appreciate public’s concern and well wishes

The condition of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s and First Lady Marie Louise Araneta-Marcos has shown notable improvements under close monitoring by their physicians, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said on Friday.

“The President and the First Lady continue to experience flu-like symptoms, but their condition has shown notable improvements. Their vital signs remain stable, and they remain in a comfortable state. Both have received advice to continue their prescribed medications, ensure adequate fluid intake, and prioritize rest,” the PCO said in its update on the medical condition of the President and the First Lady.

“The medical team will closely monitor their progress until they fully recover. We appreciate the public’s concern and well wishes. Further updates will be provided as necessary,” the advisory further stated.

On Thursday, the PCO reported improvements in the condition of the President and the First Lady, saying the chief executive anticipates resuming full public engagements, depending on the advice of his doctor.

The First Couple were reported to have developed flu-like symptoms following their full schedule in the last few days and were advised to take fluids and medication to alleviate their symptoms.

They have been advised by their attending physician to get some rest to ensure their speedy recovery.

Marcos, together with the First Lady, arrived last weekend from Europe after conducting successful visits in Germany and the Czech Republic.

The President had full schedules on March 18 and 19 including attending the World Economic Forum (WEF) and welcoming US Secretary of State Antony Blinken in Malacañang. PND
