As part of the government’s efforts to boost the country’s agricultural sector, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. announced that the government is now ready to release vaccines against Swine Fever.
“Handa na rin ang pamahalaan na ilabas ang mga bakuna laban sa Swine Fever na magpapalakas sa mga alagang hayop at magbibigay ng garantiya sa mga magsasaka laban sa pagkalugi,” the President said in his 3rd State of the Nation Address (SONA) on Monday.
President Marcos added the government is also finding ways to ease prices of basic commodities and to enhance the food chain supply in the country amid the recent El Niño phenomenon.
While acknowledging that solutions to natural calamities are just temporary, the President assured the government will always find ways to resolve problems and to continue promoting the agriculture sector.
As part of development measures in the agricultural sector, President Marcos said the government will continue distributing land titles and releasing collective Certificates of Land Ownership (CLOA) to agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) and the Certificate of Condonation, which will free them from agrarian debts.
“Bukod pa rito, naresolba rin ang mahigit pitumpung libong mga kaso patungkol sa repormang agraryo. Kasama rito ang mahigit dalawang libong kasong matagal nang nakabinbin bago pa man pumasok ang administrasyon,” he said.
President Marcos elicited resounding cheers, applause and a standing ovation as he ended his speech declaring a firm stance in protecting the country’s sovereignty over the West Philippine Sea (WPS) and the decision to ban all Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGOs). PND
