Bagong Pilipinas is more than a branding; it is a testament to government’s commitment to serve the public better, push for progress—PCO

Various national government agencies will be convening tomorrow for the “Bagong Pilipinas” kick-off rally at Quirino Grandstand in Manila City, as testament to their commitment to improving their services to the people, an official of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said on Saturday.

PCO Undersecretary Gerald Baria said that the administration’s Bagong Pilipinas banner is more than just a branding, but a multi-layered concept of the country’s bid to push to progress.

“Ito iyong parang declaration ng commitment ng Philippine bureaucracy, ng gobyerno para mag-level up ng government services para marating ang Bagong Pilipinas, he said in a news forum in Quezon City.

“So, magandang maintindihan ito kasi napaka-multilayer ng Bagong Pilipinas – hindi lang ito logo, hindi lang ‘to branding, hindi ito government program – it’s multi-sectoral/multilevel na concept na i-implement. Actually, in-start na siyang i-implement pero parang officially idi-declare bukas na simula na ng ating pagtungo sa Bagong Pilipinas,” he said.

In the same forum, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Undersecretary Odillon Pasaraba said that the firm support of local government units for the Bagong Pilipinas is vital as they are the institutions that would help bring the services of the government closer to the people.

Pasaraba said that one goal of the Bagong Pilipinas is to empower more Filipinos to further encourage them to participate in governance.

“Sa liderato ni Secretary Benhur Abalos na sumusuporta sa liderato ng ating mahal na Pangulo, Pangulong Bongbong Marcos, ang reporma or transformation na siyang isusulong ng Bagong Pilipinas – ang mas lalong umaaksiyon at magbibigay ng resulta sa kapakanan ng bawat mamamayang Pilipino; ang lokal na pamahalaan, stronger alignment of the local government units; at ang national government agencies as mentioned a while back, hindi natin kayang mag-isa,” he said.

“Kailangan natin a concerted, crystallized and consolidated efforts para mas lalong malasap, maramdaman, at makikita ng ating mga mamamayang Pilipino na may pag-asa para sa Bagong Pilipinas.”

Government officials, celebrities and other invited personalities are also expected to attend the rally tomorrow.

The kick-off rally will be live-streamed nationwide.

A “Serbisyo Fair” will also be conducted alongside other entertainment activities.
