President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Friday led the opening of Trabaho at Serbisyong Pangkalusugan para sa Bagong Pilipinas job fair in Sta. Rita, Samar.
President Marcos said he wanted to witness the opening of the job fair for 1,944 beneficiaries of the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) and Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), and the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) organized the job fair.
“Kaya naman po nandito ako upang matingnan at mainspeksyunan lahat po ng pangyayari — lahat nung nagagawa dito. Mukha namang maayos, very well-attended, very well-organized,” the President said.
Agencies such as the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG Fund, PhilHealth, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) were present to assist with their job documentary requirements.
The one-stop shop job fair attracts more than 10 local and five overseas employers and offers over 3,000 job opportunities in the manufacturing, production, logistics, retail and sales, construction, and administrative services sectors.
The President said that in addition to the job fair, medical missions were offering free dental consultations, medical screenings, and vaccines. The missions also provided free medical supplies to address residents’ health concerns.
“Ganyan po ang aming ginagawa pagka – maglalagay kami ng job fair, mayroong medical mission,” the President said in his speech.
The Katuwang sa Diwa at Gawa para sa Masaganang Ani at Mataas na Kita (KADIWA) stalls offer lower-priced agricultural products during the job fair and medical mission. | PND
