Australia has recognized the Philippines’ potential as one of fastest growing economies in the Indo-Pacific region noting that the relationship between the two nations could still be enhanced further through the current Strategic Partnership.

The strategic partnership between the Philippines and Australia looks bright, according to Australian Governor-General David Hurley, who invited President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to address the Parliament of Australia in Canberra on Thursday. 

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Thursday reaffirmed diplomatic ties with Australia and will continue to be one of the closest ally of the Philippines.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese vowed on Thursday the renewed partnership with the Philippines, underscoring the significant strategic relationship between the two countries during their bilateral meeting with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in Canberra.

At least three agreements were signed during the state visit of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in Canberra where he addressed the Parliament of Australia.
