Department of Budget and Management Secretary Amenah Pangandaman delivered the country statement of the Philippines in the 3rd Plenary Discussion of the United Nations 68th Session of the Commission on the Status Women at New York City, March 11, 2024.
Members of the Philippine delegation to the 68th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, led by DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, met on Saturday afternoon (New York time) for a briefing on the PH delegation’s organization of work for the two-week conference to be held at the UN Headquarters from 11-22 March 2024. The Philippines’ chairship is being spearheaded by PH Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Antonio Manuel Lagdameo. Aside from the DBM, the following were also represented in the briefing: Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Science and Technology, Philippine Commission on Women, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, Presidential Communications Office and the youth and private sectors.
