Sarangani flood control projects nearing completion–PBBM

The government is focused on improving the flood control infrastructures of Sarangani province amid the threats posed by climate change to protect its agriculture sector and natural resources, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said on Thursday.

“Patuloy pa natin itong iniingatan at pinapatatag dahil napapadalas ang bagyo sa ating bansa bunsod ng tinatawag na climate change o pagbabago ng ating klima,” President Marcos said during the distribution of Land Titles and Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (CoCROM) in Soccsksargen.

Sarangani Province is prone to flooding with the municipalities of Glan, Maasim and Kiamba suffering from excessive rain.

In Kiamba, the overflow of the Tual, Nalus, and Pangi Rivers causes flooding. |PND
