Efforts are relentless to restore damaged power lines of distribution utilities affected by Typhoon Nika, the Department of Energy – Task Force on Energy Resiliency said.
In an Energy Situation Report released Friday, six electric cooperatives across regions II, III, and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) are in partial power interruption status, affecting over 220,000 consumer connections.
The Isabela I Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ISELCO I) reported partially restoring connections for Alicia, Angadanan, City of Cauayan, San Mateo, Cordon, Echague, Jones, Ramon, San Isidro, City of Santiago, San Guillermo, and San Agustin. Over 167,000 consumer connections remain pending for restoration.
Isabela II Electric Cooperative (ISELCO II) has partially restored connections for Santa Maria, Santo Tomas, Tumauini, Benito Soliven, and San Mariano. The power in the town of Palanan in Isabela is yet to be restored. This brings the total pending consumer connections for restoration to more than 15,700.
For consumers of Quirino Electric Cooperative (QUIRELCO), the distribution utility has already partially restored power lines for Aglipay, Cabarroguis, Diffun, Maddela, Saguday, and Nagtipunan. A total of 26,402 consumer connections are pending restoration, including those in the town of San Agustin.
In CAR, Kalinga-Apayao Electric Cooperative, Inc. (KAELCO) also has partially restored power for the City of Tabuk, Pasil, Tanudan, Conner, and Kabugao,
The Ifugao Electric Cooperative, Inc. (IFELCO) also reported partial restoration in Alfonso Lista, and Aguinaldo.
Meanwhile in Central Luzon, Aurora Electric Cooperative, Inc. (AURELCO) has pending restorations for the 4,793 consumers in Casiguran, Dilasag, and Dinapigue.
According to DOE, the recent weather disturbances incurred an initial estimated damage of P22,375,861.81 for CAGELCO II, KAELCO, AURELCO, BENECO, and QUIRELCO. |PND
