President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. expressed his gratitude on Friday to their supporters who gathered to honor his father, former President Ferdinand E. Marcos Sr., during a memorial mass at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

“Nais ko lang pasalamatan kayong lahat na nakisama sa amin dito ngayon sa Undas para sa pag-alala ng aking minamahal na ama,” President Marcos told supporters shortly after the mass offered to his father.

“Kaya naman mas naging makabuluhan ang aming Undas dahil sa inyong pagdating. At lalong-lalo na dahil nararamdaman namin ang pagmamahal ninyo sa aking ama at sa pag-alala sa kanya. Maraming, maraming salamat sa inyong lahat,” he added.

President Marcos and former First Lady Imelda Marcos held the mass at the Libingan ng mga Bayani where they were warmly greeted by their supporters clad in red shirts.

The President said he deeply appreciates their gestures, which reflect the enduring memory of his father’s legacy.

The Chief Executive also vowed to carry on his father’s legacy, encouraging everyone to continue honoring the contributions made by the late statesman. | PND
