Local officials in the Eastern Visayas region on Friday expressed their gratitude to President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for demonstrating good governance and compassionate leadership.
They thanked the President as he turned over housing units to some 3,500 Yolanda-hit families in the region.
The town of Burauen is among the eight local government units (LGUs) with typhoon-affected families receiving houses. The families are still residing in identified no-build or unsafe zones.
Other beneficiaries are from the towns of Tabontabon, Tanauan, Julita, Dagami, and Pastrana in Leyte; Marabut in Samar; and Culaba in Biliran.
Renomeron assured Burauen and other LGUs are committed to achieving their goals for their constituents under the vision of Bagong Pilipinas.
“Buo ang aking loob na patuloy na maaabot ng aming bayan ang aming adhikain tungo sa ilalim ng Bagong Pilipinas,” he said.
“We are all grateful for the good governance, compassionate leadership and unwavering support our national government has been extending to us.”
According to the National Housing Authority (NHA), the government has already completed the construction of 175,000 housing units. | PND
