Reaffirming his commitment to uplifting the lives of Filipino farmers, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. visited Davao on Thursday to personally distribute 11,559 Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROM) and 816 Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) titles and E-titles to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in the region.
“Narito ako upang ipamahagi ang mga sertipikong magpapalaya sa ating mga agrarian reform beneficiaries sa inyong pagkakautang sa lupang pang-agraryo,” President Marcos said in his speech during the event in Panabo City, Davao Del Norte.
“Ang programang ito ay naglalayong gawing ganap na tagapagmay-ari ng inyong mga sinasaka. Ibig sabihin, wala na po kayong iisipin na babayarang amortisasyon, interes, at iba pang mga surcharge. Sa madaling salita, lahat ng inyong utang burado na. Limpyo na tanan,” he added.
A total of 9,158 ARBs from Davao Del Norte, Davao De Oro, and Davao Oriental were freed from their debt amounting to P678,103,641.35.
“Bago matapos ang taon ay isusunod naman natin para sa mga Agrarian Reform beneficiary sa Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental, at sa Davao City,” the President said.
President Marcos also awarded 144 regular CLOA titles to 142 ARBs in Davao City and 672 e-titles to 465 ARBs from Davao Del Sur and Davao Del Norte.
These initiatives are part of the Department of Agrarian Reform’s SPLIT Land Acquisition and Land Distribution Project, which accelerates the division and distribution of land to farmer-beneficiaries who previously did not own land, he said.
The President assured farmers of the government’s vow to advance agricultural sustainability and inclusive growth.
“Patuloy po ang pagsisikap ng gobyerno na mabigyan kayo ng mga proyekto na makakatulong sa pagpapalago ng inyong mga sakahan at magpapatatag sa sektor ng agrikultura,” he said.
“Kaya ngayong araw, ipinagdiriwang din natin ang tagumpay na bunga ng inyong pagsisikap, ang inyong sakripisyo, at determinasyon. Makakaasa kayo na sa Bagong Pilipinas, hindi namin kayo pababayaan. Ang paglilingkod sa inyo ang nagbibigay sa amin ng inspirasyon para magsumikap sa aming tungkulin,” he added. | PND
