President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. distributed PhP 109,780,000 in government aid on Monday to victims of Severe Tropical Storm Kristine victims in Batangas.
In his speech during the distribution of assistance to farmers and fisherfolk in Laurel, President Marcos said six municipalities in Batangas – Talisay, Laurel, Agoncillo, Cuenca, Lemery, and Balete – will receive PhP10 million each through the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The Office of the President will distribute PhP10,000 to 4,378 selected beneficiaries in the municipalities of Agoncillo (1,599); Laurel (1,500); and Talisay (1,279), he added.
The Chief Executive also mentioned that housing materials worth PhP6 million, donated by the Metrobank Foundation, Inc., will be distributed through the Department of Social Housing and Urban Development (DHSUD) to beneficiaries from Talisay (159 kits), Agoncillo (200 kits), and Laurel (200 kits).
President Marcos thanked Metrobank and other private partners as he encouraged more support for typhoon victims.
| PND
