PBBM declares special non-working days for celebration of local festivities, events



President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. issued several proclamations on Sept. 13, declaring special non-working days in various jurisdictions for the celebration of local festivities and other important events.

The proclamations were signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin. President Marcos issued Proclamation No. 688, declaring Oct. 1, 2024, Tuesday, a special non-working day in the Municipality of Gloria, Oriental Mindoro for the celebration of the Kawayanan Festival.

The President also declared Oct. 8, 2024, Tuesday, a special non-working day in Koronadal, South Cotabato under Proclamation No. 689 as the city celebrates its 24th Charter Anniversary.

A similar issuance was made by the President for the Municipality of Pamplona, Negros Oriental, marking the celebration of the Yamog Festival on Oct. 12, 2024.

The President issued Proclamation No. 690 to allow the people of Pamplona the full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration.

Through Proclamation No. 691, President Marcos declared Oct. 21, 2024, Monday, a special non-working day in the Municipality of Sibutu, Province of Tawi-Tawi as it celebrates its creation as a municipality.

It will also be a special non-working day in the Municipality of Pigcawayan, North Cotabato on Oct. 21, 2024, after the President issued Proclamation No. 692.

Pigcawayan will mark the celebration of its 71st Founding Anniversary on Oct. 20, 2024, which falls on a Sunday.

To enable the people of Pigcawayan to fully participate in the occasion, the Sangguniang Bayan of Pigcawayan requested that the following day, Oct. 21, be declared a special non-working day. PND
