Despite the onslaught of tropical cyclones Marce, Nika, and Ofel, fuel supply is sufficient in Ilocos, Cagayan Valley regions and Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), the government assured on Friday.
“As of 1200H on 15 November 2024, no reported oil supply disruption was received as of this writing. The oil supply is sufficient in affected areas,” the Task Force on Energy Resiliency said in its situation report in those regions.
President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. directed various government agencies to ensure enough supply of basic necessities, fuel and power to typhoon-hit communities.
On the status of downstream oil industry (DOI) facilities, the task force said that as of 12 noon Friday, all bulk facilities are operational while three oil retail outlets are not.
A price freeze for household Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in cylinders (11 kg and below) and kerosene products is now in effect. It will remain for 15 days upon the declaration of the state of calamity (SOC).
A state of calamity was raised in Cabagan, Isabela; Dilasag, Aurora; and Paracelis, Mountain Province following the impact of the weather disturbances. |PND
