The government is working tirelessly to develop agricultural equipment capable of withstanding climate change impact, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. assured Filipino farmers on Friday.
The President made the remarks during the distribution of over PhP50 million in financial assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and their families affected by the recent typhoons in Pangasinan.
President Marcos also assured the farmers of sufficient buffer seeds and other forms of assistance to support their immediate recovery.
He directed the Department of Agriculture (DA) to closely work with relevant agencies to ensure aid is delivered promptly and effectively.
Before concluding his speech, the President emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing future challenges.
“Sama-sama nating itayo ang isang Bagong Pilipinas na mas ligtas, mas handa, [at] mas maunlad – isang bansang may malasakit, pakikipagkapwa at pagkakaisa,” he said. |PND
