Interview

Interview with OPS Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles by Lorenz Tanjoco (Radyo Pilipinas – Ronda Pilipinas)

Event Media Interview

TANJOCO: Attorney, Sec., magandang-magandang morning po. Lorenz po ito ng Radyo Pilipinas.

SEC. CRUZ-ANGELES: Hello, good morning.

TANJOCO: Yes, Ma’am, good morning. Una, actually, ang gusto lang po naming alamin dito, Ma’am, is kumustahin kayo from the last couple of months na kayo ay nakaupo po bilang Press Secretary.  Eh, mukhang you are doing a job-well done, Ma’am sa mga interview po natin?

SEC. CRUZ-ANGELES: Maraming Salamat we have been busy, siyempre we are preparing for an accomplishment report by the end of the first 100 days. So, we have been to all of the attached agencies, tapos sumusunod din tayo. The President has issued his directives for the Office of the Press Secretary. So, primarily that we coordinate with the other departments and agencies for single messaging. Under the single messaging policy for President and, we also give a premium to government media first.

TANJOCO: Iyan, talaga naman saludo kami, Ma’am sa ganiyang process.

SEC. CRUZ-ANGELES: You can interview me. Kaya iyong policies, it has to be interviewed first by our own government media. Although napagbigyan naman natin iyong iba, there are some stations that we allowed interviews we usually give a premium first to our government station. So, iyan iyong makikita ninyong first kumbaga standout policy natin ngayon.

TANJOCO: Thank you so much, na-appreciate.

SEC. CRUZ-ANGELES: If you noticed, also it’s not just we will give briefings now at the Malacañang Press Corps. We also invite the other Cabinet secretaries, particularly we get involved in their campaign as well. Because you know iyong mga campaigns ng ibang departments are directly from the President.  In-order ng Presidente, we are all in, we chump in with everybody else and help them out. So, iyon, that is what we have been really doing lately, mostly, we are setting all these policies and making sure that the public gets the information that they need, particularly with the priority campaigns of the President.

SEC. CRUZ-ANGELES: Not so much naman, our (unclear) still the same for me, normal that you know, waking up early and all that, that’s the easy part.  The other issue is that now, I speak for the government, you cannot have opinions outside of that. Pero even my mind is ano, the mindset is changing. So, we are here now to give the briefings, because there is no clutter, you are not thinking this good, this is bad, you already thresh out the problems of an issue that you bring to the public if you are capable of answering all of the issues surrounding, iyon. So iyon lang, that was the adjustment I had to make.

SEC. CRUZ-ANGELES: Oh, yes, we can confirm that, actually hindi ko pa lang na-announce. And congratulations are due to him for doing a good job at OWWA ‘di ba.

TANJOCO: Si Sir Hans Cacdac, malilipat po ba ng puwesto o mayroon po siyang ibang napuntahan?

SEC. CRUZ-ANGELES: Hindi ko pa po, sure. But you know a good man will always land on his seat.

TANJOCO: Very nice information, Ma’am. Thank you so much dito and of course. I just want to let you know, Ma’am na ramdam po namin ang pagbabago dito sa Radyo Pilipinas and thank you so much dito sa mga pagbabagong ipinapatupad po ninyo, Ma’am.

SEC. CRUZ-ANGELES: Maraming salamat and you know with government station. You know, you always get a priority from the OPS.

TANJOCO: Thank you so much, Attorney for the time.

SEC. CRUZ-ANGELES: Thank you.
