LAZO: Secretary, magandang hapon and welcome.
SEC. ANGELES: Magandang hapon din. You look beautiful today.
LAZO: Thank you, and so do you.
SEC. ANGELES: Ang ganda naman ng suot natin.
LAZO: Salamat.
SEC. ANGELES: At ang guwapung-guwapong si Aljo. Kumusta?
Mayroong mga certain agencies such as the Philippine Information Agency na bumalik na po sa Office of the President. Ang RTVM po ay napunta na sa PMS, sa Presidential Management Staff; and then, of course, I retained PTV, IBC, PNA, Broadcast Services which is masigasig nating RP1 and Radyo Pilipinas, primarily. So we have a tighter ship, kumbaga. So, iyon iyong first na nakikita natin, major improvement and thank you to the President for streamlining the office. So, right now, all we have to do is fill-up the staffing pattern and see what we can do with what we already have.
So, magagaling naman, kasi very talented iyong mga tao sa office, plus we are bringing in a young and exciting team. So, we are going to see how we can make this an exciting administration.
LAZO: Synergy of all.
SEC. ANGELES: Yes.
SEC. ANGELES: Well, of course, as you know, the State of the Nation Address, the President had talked to the various officials; he had talked to the Secretaries of the agencies that are his primary concern.
So, makikita na rin natin kung ano ang proposed niya na mga solusyon para doon sa mga problema now that an accurate assessment or a more updated, kumbaga, assessment has been made of this department.
BENDIJO: Opo. State of the Nation Address, ma’am?
SEC. ANGELES: Well, as far as I know, you know the President writes his own speeches, alam naman ninyo iyon.
If the inaugural address was conceptual – he is talking about plans in broad strokes, the SONA is supposed to deal with more specific problems.
SEC. ANGELES: Well, ito po ang kauna-unahang SONA natin, and I am very happy to see so many people interested in what our President has to say. But we can guarantee you that the President brings fresh perspective and an exciting youthfulness to his administration, so antabayanan natin. The President has always—he talks simply but very eloquently. And this is what we can expect from the speech na ito.
Who made your fabulous attire?
SEC. ANGELES: This is Dobie Aranda.
LAZO: Thank you so much for spending time with us today.
BENDIJO: Thank you, ma’am.
SEC. ANGELES: Thank you for having me.
