Market rice retailers started lowering prices following the successful implementation of the Kadiwa ng Pangulo “Rice-for-All” program across Metro Manila, according to the Department of Agriculture (DA).

The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Saturday revealed they are balancing efforts to ensure affordable rice in local markets and decent income for farmers.

More Kadiwa ng Pangulo trade centers are expected to be established by the government to give Filipinos further access to the P40 per kilo rice, according to the Department of Agriculture (DA).

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Tuesday directed the Department of Agriculture (DA) and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to expand the P29 and Rice-for-All (RFA) Programs under the Kadiwa ng Pangulo Program.

The Department of Agriculture (DA) has revealed it will open Kadiwa franchising to private operators or cooperatives as the agency gears toward establishing more outlets in the coming years.

As a way of thanking President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. for the many assistance his administration has given to farmers to increase their production, irrigators have started to sell rice as low as P20/kilo rice at Kadiwa outlets of the National Irrigation Administration (NIA).

Some participating stalls under the “Kadiwa ng Pangulo” of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. have sold PhP20.00 per kilogram of rice in the Bicol Region during its launching on April 25, according to the National Irrigation Administration (NIA).

The Kadiwa ng Pangulo (KNP) is selling rice at PhP39 per kilo in Metro Manila, along with other commodities like fresh and quality fruits and vegetables.

The Department of Agriculture (DA) invited on Wednesday Metro Manila residents to grab the opportunity and avail of the products sold at the Kadiwa Ng Pangulo (KNP) as it will run from March 18 to 27 in the National Capital Region (NCR).
