Members of the Philippine delegation to the 68th Session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women, led by DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman, met on Saturday afternoon (New York time) for a briefing on the PH delegation’s organization of work for the two-week conference to be held at the UN Headquarters from 11-22 March 2024. The Philippines’ chairship is being spearheaded by PH Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Antonio Manuel Lagdameo. Aside from the DBM, the following were also represented in the briefing: Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Interior and Local Government, Department of Science and Technology, Philippine Commission on Women, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples, Presidential Communications Office and the youth and private sectors.


The Presidential Communications Office thanks all participants, both from the public and private sectors, for their active involvement in the Gender-Responsive Strategic Communications Workshop, in collaboration with UN Women at the Marco Polo Ortigas.


Nakisa ang delegasyon ng Pilipinas sa pagdiriwang ng International Women's Day sa United Nations (UN) headquarters sa New York City. Pinanguhan ni Ambassador Antonio Lagdameo ang delegasyon ng Pilipinas. Nilahukan din ito ng mga lider at tagapagtaguyod mula sa iba't ibang panig ng mundo, kung saan tinalakay ang mga isyu na nakaaapekto sa mga kababaihan at mga batang babae, lalo na sa larangang digital gender equality.
