From Presidential Spokesperson Ernie Abella – On the arrest of policewoman linked to Abu Sayyaf Group
The arrest of PSupt. Maria Cristina Brugada Nobleza who was assigned at the PNP Crime Lab of PRO11 underlines the need for vigilance in the campaign for peace within our borders.

Investigation revealed that PSupt. Nobleza has links with the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG). Considered as a high-risk detainee; and, PNP Chief Bato Dela Rosa is facilitating PSupt. Nobleza Nobleza’s transfer to Camp Crame from Bohol.

The President is firm and decisive in the fight against terrorism. He has ordered government troops to carry out sustained, focused and intense operations to put an end to lawless and gruesome acts of violence.
